6th edition
2024
PROGRAM 2023
September 18th to 30th, 2023
The Festival European Polyphony celebrates its 5th edition, from September 18th to 30th, 2023.
During two weeks, the Festival presents an ambitious program crossing classical music, photography and cinema, and transforms the Medieval City of Rhodes into a big interactive music workshop combining arts, culture, and creativity. The Festival European Polyphony highlights the city of Rhodes as a meeting place for cultures, audiences and disciplines and aims to be a place of creation, connection and proximity between artists and audiences, through the transmission and discovery of art and classical music.
This year, the program of the 5th edition is devoted to French artistic creation with the participation of internationally renowned solo artists: violinists Gilles Apap and Eva Zavaro, accordionist Myriam Lafargue, pianist Clément Lefebvre and organist Marcel Pérès. The Mikrokosmos chamber choir, already well known to Rhodes audiences, completes this musical program with a promenade combining choral singing and theater, and will also offer several public workshops.
In addition, the public will discover the photographic exhibition "Confluence(s)" created by photographers Peggy Herbeau and Christophe Fillieule, during our FEP 2022 residency program.
Throughout this edition, several screenings will present the short film « Back bottle » made on Rhodes Island during the previous edition, directed by Gabriel Mirété.
All events are free to the public.
